Under The Planning & Development Act, 2007 the R.M. is able to charge fees for the application, review, advertising and issuance of development permits (both permitted and discretionary use), minor variances and amendments to the Official Community Plan or Zoning Bylaw (included both textual and map amendments). The fees are not to exceed the cost to the municipality of processing and advertising the application, and of administering and regulating the development.
