Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Rural Municipality of Corman Park No. 344 intends to adopt bylaws under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw No. 35/21, known as the Partnership for Growth (P4G) Planning District Zoning Bylaw.
INTENT
- Proposed Bylaw No. 42/25 will rezone from D-Agricultural District 2 (DAG2) to D-Agricultural Residential 1 District (DAR1) the lands described below. Proposed Bylaw No. 42/25 will provide for the creation of one Agricultural Residential parcel.
- Proposed Bylaw No. 35/25 will provide for Housekeeping textual amendments to the P4G District Zoning Bylaw.
The amendments are:- To clarify in Section 2.6.1 that fences unless other wise specified in the rest of Bylaw 35/21 do not require a development permit;
- Update Section 3.12 to include clarity to fence development standards;
- Amend Section 4.11 to allow Child Care Centre as an accessory use;
- Correct a numerical number in the maximum number of shipping container chart in Section 4.36;
- Amend Section 4.43 to clarify the notification process for a Telecommunication Tower use;
- Add “Surveillance and Security Suite” as a discretionary use in each of the following zoning districts:
- Section 6.10.3 of D – Rural Convenience Commercial 1 District (DC1).
- Section 6.11.3 of D – Arterial Commercial 2 District (DC2).
- Section 6.12.3 of D – Business District (DB).
- Section 6.15.3 of D – Community Service District(DCS).
- Add the definition of “Internal Subdivision Road” to Section 9 of the definitions.
AFFECTED LANDS
- The affected lands are all that portion of SW 14-37-6-W3 shown on Map 1 (Bylaw No. 42/25)
- The affected lands are all lands contained in the P4G Planning District (Bylaw No. 35/25)

PUBLIC INSPECTION
Any person may inspect the proposed bylaws between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, up to 5:00 p.m. until Friday, September 19, 2025. The proposed bylaw is also posted for online viewing at www.rmcormanpark.ca under Public Notice.
PUBLIC HEARING
Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaws. The R.M. Council meeting and Public Hearing will be held in person and via remote GoToMeeting. All written comments received by 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 12, 2025 will be forwarded to Council.
