SARM Student Scholarship in Agricultural Safety and Rural Health

The Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities (SARM) is now accepting applications for the 90th Anniversary $1500 Student Scholarship in Agricultural Safety and Rural Health.  This scholarship is offered by the Agricultural Health and Safety Network Program at the Canadian Centre for Health and Safety in Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan.  This year there will be two scholarships available.

Rural students with a farming background currently in grade 12 and pursuing post-secondary education in the fall of 2019 are encouraged to submit application and essay.  Topics for the essay include: “The Importance of Safety and Health on Our Farm” or “Safety and Health Hazards on Our Farm.”  Applications must be postmarked no later than December 14th 2018. Two students who submit the best farm safety essays will each be awarded a $1500 scholarship at the SARM convention in March 2019.
